The first day of the 80th Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport absolutely flew by, so let’s take a moment to breathe and look back at all of the best on-track moments.
It’s always a bitter sweet moment when we reach the end of the first day of an event. While we come away bereft of rational thought in the aftermath of a stunning day of historic motorsport action, the realisation dawns that, especially here at the 80th Goodwood Members’ Meeting, there is only one more day of festivities to go.
But let’s not get too down about that! We still had a great time, and this video has got all of the best bits all in one place. Whether you’re a fan of big brutish, muscular prototypes from the Gurney Cup – Ford GT40s, Lola Mk1s and the like – or the cutting-edge V12 GMA T.50 hypercar, a seemingly endless list of Le Mans winners, or the striking Brabham BT52 Formula 1 cars, there is so much to enjoy.
And then we simply cannot forget the monstrous Group 1 Touring Cars of the Gordon Spice Trophy, roaring as they always do and putting on hell of show, both Heat One for larger-engined cars, and Heat Two, stacking with Minis, Mk1 Golfs, Fiestas and more.
