[Video] Dancing a Mustang round Daytona takes incredible skill | GRR
How do you make everyone jealous of your freedom, in the land of the free? You jump in your howling Shelby Mustang racing car and send it for a few laps around Daytona at the HSR Classic 24.
We’ve seen Craig Davies’ antics in Mustangs at the Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport, so it’s pretty epic to ride on board as he tackles Daytona. For a fairly crude old thing, this Mustang keeps it pretty clean as it bounces left then right through the bus stop, before fully extending that V8 onto the final banking. It even maintains its composure on that perilous tip out of the start/finish down into infield turn one. How much of that is the car and how much is Davies’ ability to control it? Hard to say. He’s certainly not fighting it but we know the man can drive. Either way, he and the car are a great team for taking on Daytona in the dark. We love to see it and look forward to seeing him back at Goodwood in April for 80MM.
