Where will the 2024 WRC season begin?

As usual the year will kick off with Rally Monte Carlo on 25^th January 2024 before the traditional second round moves the WRC onto snow in the forests of Sweden in February. Safari Rally Kenya in March will coincide with the rainy season in the region, potentially bringing a whole new level of challenge to the event.

Croatia returns in April, leading the European swing of the season which includes Portugal (May), Sardinia and Poland (June), Latvia (July), Finland (August) and Greece (September).

The Americas are represented by Rally Chile in September, its second appearance in a row, and the penultimate round of the season will see the return of the Central European Rally. Across three countries, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic, the Central European Rally becomes the first multi-country WRC round ever in 2023.

As has been familiar since the end of the 2022 season the 2024 World Rally Championship will then end in November in Japan.

Are there any new rallies in 2024?

The major changes to recent seasons are the additions of Rally Latvia and Rally Poland and a change in date for the Safari Rally, which moves back its more traditional Spring date.

Poland’s incredibly fast gravel stages return for the first time since 2017, when growing safety concerns about spectators lead to the rally’s contract not being renewed. Rally Latvia has been a very successful section of the European Rally Championship for several years and steps up in 2024 in place of Rally Estonia.
