Secret cinema comes to Goodwood
While the Revival may have been postponed until 2021, the furious scream of classic racing cars will return to the Goodwood Circuit sooner than we may have imagined.
And the cars in question will be none other than mid-1970s Formula 1 challengers, the McLaren M23 and Ferrari 312T – the very cars in which James Hunt and Niki Lauda campaigned their incredible 1976 rivalry.
Unfortunately, they will only be there on the silver screen, when the Secret Cinema takes over Goodwood with a socially-distanced drive-in showing of the 2013 film Rush – one of a series of movies to be showcased at the circuit over the summer.
The event will kick off on Sunday 5th July with a showing of Disney’s Cars, perfect for the younger motorsport fans in the family.
Other films set to be shown include Mary Poppins Returns, Toy Story, The Hunger Games, Moulin Rouge, Star Wars, Reservoir Dogs, Pretty Woman and American Psycho, plus many more.
Film-goers are encouraged to dress themselves and their motors in period-appropriate outfits and will be able to enjoy American diner-style food delivered to their cars.
