[Video] Audi RS e-tron GT Review | GRR
We love a Porsche Taycan here at GRR. We’ve had a taste of many of its different variations, the Sport Turismo, the Cross Turismo and the Turbo S to name a few, and they are all fantastic cars. But now Audi has come out with this, the RS e-tron GT, and we have to say it’s turned a head or two in the office.
The headline is that enormous 646PS (475kW) figure, which is admittedly only available in ‘Boost’ mode from a standing start, but the acceleration is alarming, to say the least. In normal driving, that power drops to 598PS (440kW), which puts the RS e-tron GT on a level with the Taycan GTS. There’s also 830Nm (612lb ft) of torque, which in simple terms is still plenty.
It’s not just about brute speed though. The RS e-tron GT has been brilliantly engineered. The air springs suck up all of the lumps and bumps and keep the car perfectly poised through undulations. For a car that weighs the best part of 2.3 tonnes, it’s an incredible feat.
Then there’s the interior, which is simply flawless. The infotainment is slick, the controls are well laid out, and the level of comfort is at the very top end of what you would expect from Audi. The only thing left that we’d love to see from this car is an estate version.
