Gallery: Highlights from Saturday FOS
From Karun Chandhok taking an ear-splitting run up the hill in Juan-Pablo Montoya’s naturally-aspirated V10 F1 car – surely the best sounding F1 engine ever? – to a mad bloke in a jetpack blasting around leaving gobsmacked faces and head-spinning fumes of kerosene in his wake. Saturday has certainly delivered the goods.
It also marked the day where our hill climb competitors began to turn the wick up during timed-shootout practice, with a whole host of cars spanning decades of racing history trying to fit the Goodwood puzzle-pieces together in time for the Sunday showdown.
Perhaps though, our favourite moment of the day goes to Grant Williams, who muscled and squealed a classic Jaguar Mk1 from 1959 up the hill in dramatic style, making his climb look more like a getaway from a bank robbery gone wrong.
If you couldn’t be here to witness the best bits, or spent a bit too long at the bar, we’ve pulled together a gallery of the day’s highlights for you to peruse.
