Formula 1 returns imminently for 2017, with the Australian GP in Melbourne, and there’s change on the horizon according to those on the inside. Lower wings and wider tyres should make for machines that are much quicker and consequently much more demanding of their drivers.

Video: Michael Schumacher's old Melbourne lap record is screamingly wonderful
The video above is, believe it or not, from thirteen years ago. Michael Schumacher is on fire in his F2004 Ferrari, clocking a best in qualifying of 1.24.408 with the 3.0-litre V10 screaming at up to 19,000rpm. It looks like someone’s accidentally hit fast forward, but it really is that fast. If the team's claims for this year hold true, do you think they’ll be going this fast?
