In the UK, our car modifying scene certainly still has a strong ‘Max Power’ and ‘Fast Ford’ magazine feel to it. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but there are a considerable number of Fords that have been slammed and had a remap when you see the ‘big meet’ in a Tesco car park.
Video: Screaming 10,000rpm V10 Supra dyno run
A little hop across the ocean to America and they’ve taken – as ever – things to the extreme. When they get their cars onto the dyno, the whole building starts to shake… literally. In this particular video, Ryan Tuerck has almost completed his Formula Supra build and we’re pretty sure it can take on any modified car the UK has produced.
This isn’t the famously modified ‘90s Supra where the 2JZ engine was built so strong it basically demanded people to add more power. No, this is the new Supra, and rather than the regular 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged BMW straight-six, Ryan opted to swap in the Judd GV4 V10. That’s right, a V10. Ryan has somehow managed to get 630PS (463kW) at the wheels out of it and it sounds biblical. If you aren’t a fan of modified cars, we’re guessing you maybe after hearing this monster fly through the gears at 10,000rpm.
