It's probably fair to say that Goodwood has cultivated an image for itself. You think of FOS, you think of they greatest performance and racing cars in the world thrashing it up a driveway in Sussex to awestruck crowds. You think of Revival, you think of the finest historic racing machinery in the world turning wheels in anger once again, with spectators dressed up for the occasion.

Video: Growling Hot Rods take over the Goodwood Motor Circuit
So a rowdy cohort of burbling rat rods seems a little incongruous on tarmac that's been ripped at by some of most highly-revered (and valued) historic racing machinery on Earth. That's no defamation on the part of these things. Massive V8s and big white walls moving pre-war American mutants is a formula loved by many at Goodwood. Just listen to them! If it's loud and fast, we love it, and the Motor Circuit is all the better for the diversity of the machinery that it hosts.
