Video: Porsche's oldest 911 has been restored to perfection
It must be terrifying and satisfying in equal measure to be the chaperone of one of the all-time great nameplates in sportscars. Granted, there’s a lot more to Porsche than the 911 but the magnitude of its significance, even on the timeline of a marque such as this, is utterly unparalleled.
When Porsche says it’s taking the oldest 911 on its books into the workshop for a top-to-bottom workover, we take notice and wait with baited breath. Finally, after over three years of work, 901 No. 57 drives and looks as good as the day it rolled off the production line in 1963. Stunning work from the boys and girls at the Porsche Museum.
