Aston Martin unveils new DB10 for James Bond's 2015 movie – Spectre

Aston Martin and the James Bond film franchise have unveiled Bond’s stunning new car, the Aston Martin DB10, on the 007 stage at Pinewood Studios.

Bond will drive the new creation in the forthcoming movie Spectre. Few others will get the chance, as it will be a model developed specifically for the film and built in-house by the brand’s design and engineering teams under Aston Martin’s design chief Marek Reichman.

Aston’s connection with the Bond franchise spans half a century, and started with the iconic DB5.

Production will be strictly limited to 10 of the bespoke sports cars for filming, but we’ve yet to find out if they’re all going to be blown up, crashed, crushed or sunk for the movie, or whether lucky Bond wannabees will get a chance to own some or all of them when shooting has finished.

In any case, the DB10 Spectre car is said to closely preview the shape of Aston’s actual DB9 replacement in 2016. Or: ‘The DB10 gives a glimpse to the future design direction for the next generation of Aston road cars,’ as the press release would have it.
