Video: 12 Spitfires and Hurricanes flypast at Goodwood

As we mark the 75th Anniversary of VE Day with our VE Day live stream, we’re able to look back at some truly special moments in Goodwood’s history. Given that Spitfires were based at Goodwood during World War II, and indeed the airfield’s perimeter road is what became the Goodwood Motor Circuit, it’s particularly exciting to look back to the 2015 Revival when 12 Spitfires and Hurricanes took to the skies above the circuit.
To see one Spitfire in flight and hear its Merlin engine is special enough, but to see 11 Spitfires and one Hurricane in formation is exhilarating.
