Enough about the new normal. What was the old normal? It feels like half of the Goodwood Revival’s job over the years has been to answer that question, at least where the years 1948 to 1966 are concerned. But what was the old normal for the Revival? We’d say the rasp of Jaguar XK engines thrashing it out against rumbling Ford V8 monsters is a big part of it. It is, of course, the Revival staple we look forward to every year – E-types and AC Cobras at each other’s throats.
