Think Sebring and names like Corvette, Porsche and Dodge will likely spring to mind. Mazda? Maybe less so. But watching a high-revving NC MX-5 scream around this bumpy, challenging track is fantastic. Better still this plucky Mazda passes 15 cars on the opening lap alone.

The race is the Sebring round of the 2014 Continental Tire Series and the driver Stevan McAleer. After a technical infringement in qualifying relegated McAleer to the back of the grid for the race start there was some serious work to do. It becomes immediately obvious that McAleer is going to outbrake everyone else on circuit and go around the outside of countless opponents, making the most of other’s hesitancy or mistakes. What a scorching lap.
