One would think that someone as integral to any Goodwood event as our own Henry Hope-Frost would have organised transport to the event at which he was due to feature. Alas, that doesn’t appear to be how things panned out.

Video: Hitchhiking to Goodwood in a Porsche 911 GT1
If you watch the video above, we find Henry (and a conveniently present cameraman, obviously) stranded in one of the sleepy picturesque communities nestled in the belly of the South Downs. They’re trying to flag down a ride – a perilous endeavour at the best of times – and being the jammy so-and-so that he is, catch the attention of a rather special steed. Up pulls the race-built, but road-converted, FATurbo Porsche 911 GT1 on its way to 75MM, where it was due to partake on the spectacular GT1 high speed demo. Naturally, they cause quite a stir...
