Video: This Chevy DP lap is so fast it looks sped up
Have you ever looked at a video and wondered if it’s been sped up? Because this on board footage from John Reisman’s Chevy Corvette DP looks like it’s running at double speed. The thing is, it isn’t.
Filmed at Circuit Mont-Tremblant during qualifying for the 2018 Sommet des Légendes, the Florida driver makes mincemeat of the 4.26km track and the opposition, passing six other drivers and leaving them standing in his wake as he bounces off the limiter around the epic Canadian track.
160mph through a corner? No problem, and such was Reisman’s speed that he later went on to take victory in the Enduro Race H.
Oh, and the noise. Let’s not forget that glorious noise from the DP’s 5.5-litre, naturally aspirated V8. If only all race cars were quite so vocal.
