When you’re a professional drifter, sideways is a way of life. And few do it better than American Ryan McClure, who manages to make a seriously sideways car look like it’s in some form of choreographed dance.
Video: Epic Toyota Chaser drift smokeout
Watch as McClure pilots his Toyota Chaser Tourer V around a convoluted course like a boss, slipping from one drift into another with the finesse of an artist. The 1992 JZX90 has undergone heavy modifications to allow this graceful display, with a host of Blitz engine and exhaust modifications, a Kaaz Super-Q two-way limited slip differential, and a whole load of suspension, chassis and brake upgrades. On the exterior, it has sprouted a full body aero kit and roof spoiler, while the stripped back interior features bucket seats and drift controls.
It’s an impressive build, and even more so with McClure behind the wheel. Take a few minutes this morning to enjoy it in action during the ClubFR Drift Day 71 and AUTOMASS GRIDLIFE at Autobahn Country Club.
