In the wake of F1’s Drive to Survive that has received plenty of plaudits since it first reached our screens in 2019, it seems every other form of motorsport is keen to develop its own behind-the-scenes Netflix series. The latest version is NASCAR Full Speed, and we’ve now seen the teaser trailer.
The docuseries, that will follow the events of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series from behind the scenes, appears to follow a similar rhythm to Drive to Survive. It's all driver interviews, fly-on-the-wall footage and plenty of high-octane racing action.
The teaser trailer, which is one minute in length, reveals little of what we can actually expect over the course of five episodes, but we do know it will focus on the stories of nine drivers. Dale Earnhard Jr. is listed as an executive producer for NASCAR Full Speed, which suggests the series will offer a true representation of the sport’s inner workings.
Episode one is scheduled to drop on Netflix on Tuesday 30th January, with the new season set to get underway with the Daytona 500 on 18th February.
