That would be fair, if not for the fact that the W16 Mistral is to be not only the last Chiron-based machine from Bugatti – save perhaps for the Bolide if that makes production – but the last 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16-powered Bugatti. This is the monster motor’s last hurrah, after a 17-year run of near enough dominating the pursuit of automotive speed.
