Whether you’re a fan of Valentine’s Day or not, it’s a perfect excuse to treat your other half to something special. As car enthusiasts, we’ll admit we are a hard group to buy for romantically – a full set of garage tools doesn’t quite have the Valentine’s Day feeling to it. Fear not, however, as we have compiled a list of gifts that’ll scream “I love you” louder than a V10 bouncing off the rev-limiter.
What better day to spend Valentine’s day than renting a few classic cars and pootling around the countryside? If your other half is as much a car enthusiast as us, you can let them do all the driving of their preferred classic while you sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Malvern Loop or the Cotswolds Circuit.
For that added level of romance you’ll be given a paper map, so you can navigate together as if driving the classic motor in period. We do advise you to take your phone, just in case inevitable arguments ensue after being lost for all four hours…
To accompany your partner on that romantic three-day getaway, you can treat them to a pair of beautiful driving gloves. To be specific, these Goodwood crochet traditional driving gloves. They’ll come in handy when you get the roof down on that cold February morning.
It’s a scientific fact you can’t go wrong with gifting chocolate on Valentine’s Day (go to the next gift if you’re lactose intolerant). If you combine your partner’s love of chocolate with their love of cars, then this Thorntons milk chocolate racing car is the perfect gift.
If your partner is a Goodwood Revival fan then this beautiful Autodromo watch will help turn back time to that era. It’s a tribute to the Coppa Intereuropa race for sporting coupes held at Monza as a support race for the Italian Grand Prix from 1949-1964. Exquisite alloy-bodied berlinettas by the likes of Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia were campaigned by gentleman drivers at the Coppa Intereuropa. These custom-built sporting berlinettas were designed to be competitive on the race track, while elegant and luxurious on the road.
If you’re looking for a romantic spot for a bit of afternoon tea on Valentine’s Day, then we have the gorgeous setting of The Kennels restaurant on the Goodwood Estate. Just down the road from the Goodwood House you can have a selection of sandwiches, home-made scones and a selection of delicious cakes whilst looking over the beautiful grounds of Goodwood.
If you’re looking to subtly improve the smell of the house without offending your significant other, then this motor racing themed candle is perfect. They’ll be too excited about the nod to a Gulf livery, they won’t notice your plans to alter their room’s aroma.
We’ve just announced the theme for the 2022 Festival and it’s all about the innovators. This is your chance to be innovative and treat your partner to the best weekend of their year with Festival of Speed tickets. There’s also good news about savings for Valentine’s Day.
The 2022 Festival qualifies for the UK Government’s ‘creative industry tax relief’, with a reduced VAT rate of 12.5 per cent until 31st March 2022. We are pleased to be able to pass this saving on to our customers, which will apply to a number of entry products across the event.
