Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini started producing cars in 1963, making the modern Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. a relatively young automotive marque when compared to its contemporaries. Founded by Italian industrialist Ferruccio Lamborghini after years of producing everything from heating systems to tractors, the first Lamborghini car came to life as the Lamborghini 350 GTV for the Turin Motor Show. A one-off that would turn into the V12-powered 350 GT production car.

The marque, badged with a bull that referenced Ferruccio’s Taurus zodiac star sign, continued to develop throughout the 1960s, before the Lamborghini Miura P400 secured their reputation as expert manufacturers of refined, powerful, luxurious performance cars. The two-seat, mid-engined Miuras included air conditioning, power windows and an output of up to 385PS (283kW) thanks to their 3.9 litre V12 engines.

From the 1970s, through to the 1980s and 1990s, Lamborghini achieved cult status with the Lamborghini Countach. The seminal ‘Italian wedge’ supercar that adorned teenagers’ walls the world over. Later inspiring the equally as memorable Lamborghini Diablo and the evolution into the modern era.

With a fleet of cars ranging from the elegant to the extravagant, Lamborghini’s unwavering belief in exotic design, pure performance and Italian luxury remains as vibrant in its classics as it does in the latest Revuelto.
