The partnership between Henry Royce, an electrical engineer, and Charles Rolls, an unofficial world land speed record breaker and luxury car dealer, lead to the creation of Rolls-Royce Limited. Later evolving into Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Aided by Managing Director Claude Johnson, now known as the ‘hyphen’ in Rolls-Royce and who marketed their six-cylinder 1906 Rolls-Royce Ghost as ‘the best in the world’, the fledgling company had high ambitions from the outset. Where their values for craftsmanship, luxury and enduring build quality means over 65% of all Rolls-Royce cars ever produced are still on the road today.

Two world wars famously diverted their expertise into producing aero-engines with the 27-litre Merlin and 37-litre Griffon engines. A new arm to the company that would grow and eventually branch off as Rolls-Royce plc in 1987.

Despite a long history of takeovers and financial turbulence, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, with the

Spirit of Ecstacy adorning their bonnets, continue to represent the pinnacle of bespoke, luxury, hand-crafted motoring. From the pre-war Rolls-Royce 10 HP, to the inter-war Rolls-Royce Twenty, Rolls-Royce Phantom III, and Rolls-Royce Wraith. To the post-war Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud, Rolls-Royce Phantom V or Rolls-Royce Corniche. No marque matches the perfectly balanced classic, refined, elegant opulence of Rolls-Royce.
