Modern Grand Prix weekends are hectic wherever you are on the grid, with sponsors, team personnel, media and fans all trying to get a moment with the drivers. If you’re someone like Lewis Hamilton, though, everyone wants to see you all of the time. Which is why a day at Goodwood, where there are fewer media and none of the usual F1 pressure, must feel like a very chilled day at the office.
Video: Lewis Hamilton shreds Mercedes F1 tyres at Goodwood
When Hamilton made a trip to the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard in 2014 he was undoubtedly busy, but rather than having to think about lap times, qualifying positions or grid procedures, he was given a 2011 Mercedes W03 to spank past Goodwood House and destroy some tyres. What a way to spend a day at work.
