Is this a dream? It might as well be. It has that ethereal quality – everything’s hazy, everything’s otherworldly. Because in this video, one of the most beautiful Ferrari’s ever panel-beaten into existence, a 250 Drogo, is being slid around on icy roads, its unmistakable Rosso paint the perfect foil to the crystalline white glaze of snow on the landscape it traverses.
Incredibly, the Drogo isn’t being babied. Owners/priceless classic car proprietors Schaltkulisse properly let the Colombo V12 off the chain, with the car regularly popping its tail in the low grip conditions for some graceful low-speed, well-controlled slides. This thing looks just the absolute business getting a wiggle on, as the legendary 3.0-litre mill pops up and down the rev range.
Controversial opinion of mine? I’ll take a Drogo over a GTO, TdF or even an SWB any day. Stunning.
