Range Rover Reborn – giving the three‑door legend a new lease of life

The factory-restored 1978 three-door Range Rover marks the next stage in the Land Rover Classic Reborn series, which began with the Series I Reborn last year.

Just 10 examples will be restored accordant to the company's original 1970s factory specification, using Land Rover Classic parts to protect the vehicle's authenticity. Land Rover's restoration team will advise customers of the best options for base vehicles, in terms of collectability, preferred chassis numbers and unique characteristics.

Prices for completed Range Rover Reborn restorations will start at £135,000.

The Range Rover was launched in 1970 and was in two-door configuration only until 1981. It remained a popular model until the end of the first generation, in 1996; the name Classic Range Rover was used to distinguish this model from its more modern sibling. During the Seventies, the Range Rover became the first vehicle to be exhibited at the Louvre in Paris as an "exemplary work of industrial design".

Jaguar Land Rover Classic will also be showing its Jaguar XKSS continuation car for the first time in Europe, after its initial debut in Los Angeles last year, and the first full factory-restored original E-Type Fixed Head Coupe. The 1962 car, privately owned and registered in France, is presented with reverse-engineered body panels manufactured in-house, and its original, reconditioned 3.8-litre engine and transmission.
