It’s a special week for us here at Goodwood as we prepare to release our Cars of the Year content into the world. Unlike some outlets, it’s a roundup with a twist, given we have no intention of picking winners. After all, in what honest ways could one compare a Porsche 911 GT3RS with a Hyundai Ioniq 6? No, these are nine great cars that we’ve loved over the past year that we think prove that the car industry is on good form. Whatever part of the market you’re in, whatever you’re looking for, there are good, interesting cars to choose from.
Video: Introducing GRR's 2023 Cars of the Year
In our intro video we go through every entrant, explaining why we’ve included it and celebrating its existence in 2023. From fun but interesting family EVs in the MG4 Xpower and Hyundai Ioniq 6, to crazy supercars and sportscars in the McLaren Artura, Maserati MC20 Cielo and Porsche 911 GT3RS, to the Civic Type R, Bentley Flying Spur Edition 12, Honda Civic Type R and Porsche 911 Dakar that straddle the two extremes, there truly is something for everyone on our line-up and available to buy going into 2024.
Be sure to watch the Goodwood Road and Racing Cars of the Year video when it launches on Friday 15th December.
