After an enforced break from Breakfast Club action (something called a Revival? ed), Sunday sees us open the gates to the circuit once again for Vee-Power Sunday. Despite some pretty appalling weather last year, Vee-Power was a big hit. Although we’d stop short of making any promises, all the signs are that this year we will enjoy somewhat more clement conditions. As such, this could be one of the biggest and best meets of the year.
We finally closed registration yesterday afternoon, by which time the list of accepted vehicles read like a car-lovers dream: From contemporary supercars, Ducatis, Aprilias and Harley-Davidsons, ‘narrow-angle’ Lancias, hot hatches, and M-Power BMWs to American muscle, rods and customs and everything in between, this is going to be a big one. We’ve done everything we can to accommodate as many vehicles as possible this time and might even get our wrists slapped for inviting a few more than we were really allowed to, but such is the demand to be involved and the diversity and quality of applications that we had to go the extra mile to fit in as many as we possibly could!
As ever, our quiet corner of West Sussex will be an extremely busy place on Sunday morning. As those of you who’ve been before will testify, the local roads can approach bursting point so the earlier you can get here, the better. If the world were a perfect place, we’d ask that you get your vehicle(s) here between 0700-0730, with on-foot guests asked to turn up at about 0800 to give us a chance to get most of the cars safely parked up. We know that some of you come quite a distance to get here, so try to adhere to those times as closely as is reasonably possible. Oh and to make things go as smoothly as possible, make sure that you’re displaying your passes to help the marshals direct you when you get inside the circuit.
