The comedown after Festival of Speed is fairly brutal. Around about now the numbness that it induces is wearing off. We’re starting to take note of the occasional 911 as it passes in the street, and subsequently judging ourselves because less than three weeks ago we were so immersed in motoring nirvana that a Carrera would barely have registered. It is therefore advised that you wean yourself off of the magnificent madness that is FoS with some videos of the action.

Video: NASTruck's Spectacular Podium FOS Run
Let’s take ourselves back for a moment, and appreciate just how insane some of the runs up the Hill were, shall we?
Few runs were as spectacularly wayward as Mike Skinner in the ballistic 2008 Toyota Tundra NASTruck. The thing snakes off the line before accruing enormous speed up to the first turn. Sideways moments galore, Skinner isn’t phased. His commitment is breathtaking. The pace is ballistic, and that twitchy moment by the flint wall had our hearts in our mouths. The 50.44 second time is outstanding considering that it either takes a purpose-built 800bhp hillclimb car or the ultimate version of the track version of McLaren’s ultimate hypercar to beat it.
What a drive from Mike Skinner, and what a machine this monstrous Tundra NASTruck is!
