As Pat Doran made his approach to the Goodwood Hillclimb’s most infamous corner, he found himself running a bit too far to the left as he began to brake. Once on the grass, it was all over, as control of the car on the slippery stuff was lost.
We watched with baited breath as he wrangled it back onto the road, pitching it into an epic slide in a bid for a save, but it was a few yards too late. Upon clattering into the bales the RS200 disintegrates almost in slow motion. Pat being a good sport hops out and bows for the crowd. It’s no shameful thing to be bested by Molecomb.
