He’s affirmatively a passionate racer and determined to win. At few other points in his career did he demonstrate these traits more fervently than when he was heading up Brabham.
With Bernie at the top, Gordon Murray and co. penning and the likes of Piquet and Lauda at the wheel of some of the finest top-flight single-seater machinery of the period, this is considered by many as both the golden age of Brabham and one of the finest periods in F1 history: times Bernie remembers fondly.
