If any of the lucky visitors to the 83rd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport could bear to tear themselves away from the exciting on-track action for just half-an-hour or so, they could have spent an interesting 30 minutes strolling around the many fascinating cars displayed in the 30+ Years Members’ Parking area, located just across the road from the Goodwood Motor Circuit.

The 83rd Members’ Meeting cars certainly didn’t disappoint, with something for all tastes and budgets. Those that ventured across the road into the dedicated 30+ Year car park would have found a wonderful and varied selection of GRRC Members’ vehicles, ranging from a diminutive pre-war 1920s Austin Seven, right through to an enormous 1980s Cadillac De Ville.
Personal highlights included a healthy spread of older Alfa Romeo Bertone coupes and Pininfarina spiders (in both Giulia and Giulietta guises), plus a delightful 1920s Vauxhall 30/98.
Some rare early examples of those oh-so-British specialist kit cars, such as a Falcon Bermuda and Fairthorpe Electron Minor, were nice to see, as was an impressive row of Aston Martin V8s, neatly lined up and wearing successive number registration plates.

An Aston DB4 GT Zagato rubbing shoulders with a Ferrari 275 GTB was also a pleasing sight, as were a quartet of Minis (including pick-up and Innocenti Cooper) plus a contrasting pair of 1970s coupes from different sectors of the market: a nice BMW 3.0 CSL and Vauxhall Firenza.
The star of the 30+ Year parking zone for me, however, was a scarce and stunning Monteverdi 375 L — the stylish Swiss GT — parked alongside a striking early purple and white Lamborghini Countach and a Fiat Dino Coupe, these making up the ultimate dream car trio for yours truly. Pure heaven and a brief oasis of calm away from the Circuit noise and action for a few minutes.
The 84th Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport takes place on the 10th & 11th April 2027. Tickets are on sale now for GRRC Members and Fellows. If you haven’t already, you can join the Fellowship today.
