The Gordon Spice Trophy is all about the iconic machines of British saloon car racing. So popular it is that there hasn’t been a single Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport since the first in 2014 that has passed by without a rendition of this hugely significant race.

A headline event of the weekend, the Gordon Spice Trophy attracts some of the biggest names in motorsport to test their skills in these Group 1 tourers. Tom Kristsensen, Jake Hill, Romain Dumas, Tom Ingram and Andy Priaulx — House Captain of Aubigny — have each wrangled the likes of Camaro Z28s, Ford Mustangs, Rover SD1s and Ford Capris around the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
In 2026, the Gordon Spice Trophy will mark the competitive Members’ Meeting debut of 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button.
Button, who took a long-awaited first victory at the Motor Circuit at the 2025 Revival, will race a Chevrolet Camaro Z28 alongside Andrew Smith.
And while this may be Button’s first Members’ Meeting outing, this is a car that has history in the Gordon Spice Trophy, winning the event in 2023 with Rob Huff, and with Matt Neal and its present owner David Clark in 2015.
It will be a busy weekend for Button, who will also be reuniting with his Championship-winning Brawn BGP001 F1 car for an emotional demonstration on both days of the event.
More details as to which cars and drivers Button and Smith will be up against will be revealed in the coming weeks, but this year’s Gordon Spice Trophy grid is already looking to be something special.
The 83rd Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport takes place on the 18th & 19th April 2026. Tickets are on sale now for GRRC Members and Fellows, with Saturday and weekend passes now limited.
