Exploring the Members' Meeting paddocks on Saturday night

It’s not a Goodwood event without a party, and there’s no Goodwood party like the one we throw at the Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport. Drivers, mechanics and members alike gather on the Saturday to let their hair down in the cool spring air. With their engines silenced, the cars resting in the paddocks form a fantastic backdrop.

The party is the perfect foil to the day’s on track action and the ideal way to unwind before the racing recommences on Sunday morning. Lighting up the night were a kaleidoscope of fairground rides, while live music provides the soundtrack to proceedings. With everyone revelling together late into the night, things come to a crescendo with a spectacular fireworks display.

Meanwhile, tucked away in a quiet corner of the paddocks, our photographer Pete Summers snuck away with a group of Shadow Can-Am cars to for a special little photoshoot. The results, we hope your agree were well worth the effort.

It's a great time to take a walk through the paddocks, with the crowds drawn to the festivities, you can spend some time appreciating the beauty of these cars in a different, more serene light. The perfect contrast to the savagery of their exploits on the track.

And with that, the metaphorical curtains closed on the Goodwood Motor Circuit for some well-earned rest before it all starts again on Sunday morning.
