We’ve had our first experience of the Super Touring celebrations taking place at the 83rd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport, and it was every bit as nostalgic as we were expecting.

The golden era of touring car racing is alive and well at Goodwood this weekend, and the sight of somewhere near 20 Super Tourers taking to the Motor Circuit for the first of several appearances was nothing short of breathtaking.
There’s a reason these cars are remembered so fondly, and they were showcased in all their dazzling glory for all of us to enjoy.

As was the case in period, the sheer scale of the demonstration was due mostly to the volume of manufacturers involved. Alfa Romeos, Audis, BMWs, Fords, Hondas, Peugeots and Vauxhalls were all back together again to rekindle an era that was so incredibly hard fought.
Each of these cars is instantly recognisable thanks to their distinct and eye-catching liveries. This wasn’t just a golden era in a sporting sense, the show was also second to none, which only serves to amplify our affection for these Super Tourers.

We love seeing these cars back in action, it’s one of those moments that exemplifies what makes the Goodwood Members’ Meeting such an unmissable event.
Tickets for the 84th Members’ Meeting will be available immediately after this year’s event for Members and Fellows of the GRRC. Admission and Grandstand tickets will go on sale on Monday 20th April for Members, and Tuesday 21st April for Fellows.
