Video: Constant side-by-side Ferrari 250 v Jaguar XK150 track battle at Goodwood

15th June 2020

As on-track duels go, this battle between Max Girardo in his Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France and Andrew Keith-Lucas in his Jaguar XK150 is a classic.

Unfolding during the Tony Gaze Trophy at the 72nd Members' Meeting, the daring dance saw the pair vie for second place among a grid full of beautiful 1950s sportscars. Despite getting within a hairs breadth of one another, the two fail to touch, as if repelled by opposing magnets.

The one-and-a-half-minute clip begins with the Ferrari sat in the Jaguar’s slip stream, before Girardo attempts to overtake Keith-Lucas… Watch, and try not to flinch…
