Video: This transatlantic battle at 79MM is intense

We’re just about five weeks away from the 80^thGoodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport, which in itself is very exciting. But that also means we’ve been spending some time looking back at what happened at last years’ event, specifically in the race that this year will be known as the Gordon Spice Trophy.

The race for ‘70s Group 1 touring cars is always a fiercely competitive affair at the Members’ Meeting, with roaring V8s aplenty in some of the world’s most recognisable racing cars. The likes of the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang with their brutal speed down the straights mixing it with the lighter and more nimble Ford Capris.

It makes for spectacular racing, much like what we see here, as the sun begins to set on what was another brilliant showcase of touring car racing at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
