The new F1 season is almost upon us and, as we’ve been showing you with our coverage of the car launches, everything is looking very different in the world of Formula 1. Outside looks are all very nice, liveries are lovely and static pictures will keep us all going for a certain amount of time, but what we all need, want, yearn to see is the cars in action. It's time for some 2022 F1 car onboards.

Update: Williams FW44 onboard at Silverstone
Updated 13:00 Wednesday 23rd February 2022. It’s shakedown time for the new generation of F1 cars, but while the running in Barcelona is the first time all of the team’s cars have been on the track at the same time, it isn’t the first time they’ve run in anger. First it was the McLaren MCL36 at Silverstone, and then it was the Williams FW44. Joy of joys, someone stuck a GoPro just above Canadian Nicholas Latifi’s head as he went out for a jaunt in the rain. The sound isn’t quite as good as it was in McLaren’s video, but still, it’s an F1 car onboard. Here’s hoping Williams will be even stronger than in 2021 in 2022…

McLaren is the first to deliver the onboard goods, and has provided more than the usual short sub-minute clip on social. Here’s a full two-and-a-half minutes of onboard with Lando Norris in the MCL36 at Silverstone. From onboard not a lot has changed, but it’s enough to get us excited for the season ahead.
