Ferrari has been in Formula 1 for its entire history, Alfa Romeo dominated the early part of F1’s story, Williams and McLaren dominated the ‘80s and ‘90s, Mercedes and Red Bull today. But one team stood astride motorsport in the 1960s and 1970s, innovating and at times dominating: Lotus.

While F1 was the clear focus for the team, winning races with the Lotus 18 before titles followed with the 72, Lotus also branched out into almost every other form of motorsport, racing in the Indianapolis 500, competing in sportscars, winning in touring cars and even rallying.
