Being a Ferrari Formula 1 driver does have its perks, aside from the obvious being paid millions to travel the world and race at the highest level. From time to time you’re likely going to be asked to sample something from the Ferrari back catalogue, and for Charles Leclerc at Silverstone this past weekend that’s exactly what happened. The car? A Ferrari 375.

The Ferrari 375 raced from 1950 to ’52, and what makes it so special is that it was the first Ferrari Grand Prix car to win a race, at Silverstone in 1951. Sadly Leclerc couldn’t enjoy a total fairy-tale weekend with a win in his SF21, although he led for 49 of the 52-lap race and finished in second place behind Lewis Hamilton. But to have experienced both in one weekend? What a privilege.
