If you were to watch a video from the Goodwood Revival right now you’d be hard pressed to find one where the driver wasn’t going through every corner making some sort of correction to the steering wheel. It’s something we don’t see as much in modern motorsport, but back in the day that was how you got the most out of a car. It seems that’s how you push a De Tomaso Pantera to the max, too, as this onboard lap from Spa-Francorchamps so beautifully illustrates.

The driver, Ralf Kelleners, has hands that move so fast only Jackie Chan could rival him for pace. Through every corner the car needs some sort of adjustment, whether it’s opposite lock on the way out of a corner, a correction to hold the rear under breaking or to balance the car through the middle of a bend. Then there’s the noise of that aggressive, booming V8 – even if you drove this car and managed to get out without blisters on your hands, you’d probably have ringing ears for several hours.
