It’s only been a couple of weeks since the 2023 Goodwood Revival but we’re already missing some of the great racing action, the sights and the sounds of the stunning classic machines we welcome every year.
Video: Hustling an E‑Type around Dijon
But it is fun to catch up with what our favourite cars get up to when they’re not at Goodwood. So you find us now, on board a 3.8-litre Jaguar E-Type, at Circuit de Dijon for Peter Auto’s Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or 2023.
It’s only a two-minute clip (Dijon isn't a long circuit) but we get the perfect view of Sebastien Berchon giving the E-Type a proper thrash around Dijon. Playing with the throttle and the steering to balance the chassis mid-corner, we see the car get a little squirmy, before filling the cabin with one-tyre fire smoke.
The big Jag is surrounded by dainty little Lotus Elans, as well as other E-Types and of course, tanky Cobras, examples of all Berchon makes short work of before the two-minute clip is up. A good way to ring in the weekend, on a bow wave of XK straight-six music.
