While few could tame this legendary beast, one man had it wrapped around his little finger… Barry Sheene – for whom Revival has a namesake race – famously won 18 races and two world titles aboard the RG500, securing its status as one of the most successful 500cc GP racing motorcycles of all time.

The original RG500 racer hit the Grand Prix grid in 1974, 11 years before the road bike arrived. In various guises, it dominated the premiere level of motorcycle racing for the proceeding three decades, and it now a hardy competitor on the classic circuit.
