If you didn’t manage to get on the list for an Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro or GMA T.50S, don’t worry, there’s a whole world of V12-powered track-only supercars out there to explore. Take this 2006 Maserati MC12 Corse, which will be available to bid on at the 2023 Bonhams Scottsdale sale on 27th January.

Packing a 755PS (555kW) uncorked version of the GT1 car’s screaming 6.0-litre V12 engine, just 12 customer examples of the Versione Corse were made. That makes it rarer than the GMA and Aston, and more than twice as rare as its Ferrari counterpart, the FXX.
Derived from the aforementioned GT1 car, this takes all of that car’s championship-winning characteristics, minus any of the restrictions a race car had to adhere to. That means more power and more downforce if you so choose it.

This example is S/N 003 and has covered just 123 miles, with the current owner having not driven it at all. Finished in ‘Blue Victory’, this is a car that wears the success of its bloodline very much on its sleeve.
Few of the 12 examples are thought to be as original as this, which also comes with its crate of accessories for maintenance and ease of use at the track and in the pits. The car benefits from a recent inspection by Ferrari Ontario, who replaced the fuel pump among a selection of smaller jobs.

As for price? Well, estimates aren’t forthcoming, though we’d say it’ll easily sell in the seven-figure range when it crosses the block in Scottsdale. Happy bidding…
