Porsche just got cooler with its new ice cream range

Just in time for the heatwave, Porsche has come up with its coolest new product yet – Porsche ice cream. The 911 of ice lollies comes in different colours inspired by custom paint colours.

You will be lucky to cool down with one this weekend though. It’s the very chilled idea of Porsche Cars North America and has been dreamed up to mark the US’s National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, 17th July. Now, why don’t we have one of those on this side of the pond?

The limited-edition ice lollies will be available in the US this weekend and then at selected Porsche events – so one might turn up at a fridge near you at some point.

There’s a five-model range of the first Porsches-on-a-stick: Mint Green, Strawberry Red, Macadamia Metallic, Frozen Berry Metallic and Lime Gold Metallic. As owners will recognise, the colours mimic some classic Porsche hues past and present.

Porsche won’t be taking on Ben & Jerry’s with its frozen moment. It has farmed out the production to Pretty Cool Ice Cream, a small-batch creamery based in Chicago.

"We genuinely thought there weren’t many things cooler than one of our special colours for your dream Porsche, but this ice cream might just have that beat,” said Ayesha Coker, Porsche marketing chief in the US.

It all just confirms what we already knew: Porsches always go at a fair lick…
