Clear blue skies over Goodwood Estate promise another day of brilliant sunshine at the 2025 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. Yesterday we got a first taste of all the event has to offer, but today we’re going back to the Summer of ‘95 as attention turns to one man…

Today’s balcony moment is reserved for the great Carl Fogarty, the four-time World Superbike Champion to be celebrated today at 13:55. Fogarty will look out at the crowd having ridden the almighty Ducati 916 upon which he won the 1995 title up the Hill, something that’s sure to evoke memories of his triumph at Donington Park all those years ago.
If you’re wanting to keep with the more intense action during the day, the Forest Rally Stage presented by Subaru, the Britpart Off-Road Arena and the Goodwood Action Sports Arena deliver in spades. Contrastingly, the Bonhams Festival of Speed auction takes place today inside Goodwood House, and with a variety of intriguing machines on sale there’s every chance you could be going home with a lighter wallet and new set of keys.
Of course, we’ll also get to enjoy Hill runs from all the batches again today, alongside another flyby from the magnificent Red Arrows following the GMA Central Feature moment. Today is going to be special, but before it all kicks-off, we’re taking some time to enjoy this gallery of snaps of the morning’s serenity.
