Aviation experiences at the Goodwood Revival 2015

Upgrade your Goodwood Revival experience by taking yourself up into the clouds – there are several options available to you.

Fly in a Spitfire or Mustang Formation

During the Revival the Boultbee Flight Academy will be offering the once-in-a-lifetime chance to fly in a Spitfire or Mustang over the event. Participants will have the opportunity to experience aerobatics and even take the controls themselves (Spitfire only). For more information or to book your seat please call 01243 531147.

The Academy, based at Goodwood Aerodrome, is the world’s only Spitfire Flying School offering passenger flights and flight training on its fleet of vintage aircraft, including two-seat Spitfire TR-9s, P-51 Mustang, Harvard, Tiger Moth and Chipmunk. Find them in the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation area at the Revival. Just look for the double decker red bus!

Vintage Flight Experience

The Piper Super Cub, the latest addition to the Goodwood Flying School fleet, is available for flight experiences during the Revival Meeting. Book your flight online here or call the Aerodrome on 01243 755087 if you have any questions.

The iconic aircraft, which started life as an L-21B in 1954 with the Dutch Air Force, has been fully restored over 18 months and joined the fleet at the start of 2015. Compared with the modern Cessna, the Super Cub offers an ‘old school’ flying experience perfect for the Revival weekend. This lightweight two-seat aircraft has stick and rudder operation, and offers the pilot and passenger a 360-degree view with a clear roof and sides – the perfect aircraft from which to view the event from up high.

• Pre-flight briefing
• 30-minute flight (20 minutes airborne)
• Day Membership for you & one guest to the brand new Goodwood Aerodrome building for the day, offering unrivalled access to the Warbird aircraft and their pilots, and to the pay bar and restaurant facilities

Helicopter Pleasure Flight

The most affordable way to take to the skies at the Revival, a Helicopter Pleasure Flight allows you the opportunity to take in stunning views of the Motor Circuit, Airfield and surrounding area, whilst looking down on the historic Revival action as it takes place.
