The final pre-Members' Meeting tests have come and gone, with drivers, mechanics and team owners keen to see just how fast their machines are, and iron out any mechanical niggles that could prove problematic over the 77th Members’ Meeting weekend.
We had a lovely selection of Mini Coopers, a Chevrolet Camaro Z28, a Porsche 904 and a gloriously loud 1964 Crossle Mk. 5. Aston Martin’s ‘Expert High Performance Test Driver’ Chris Goodwin put in an appearance, too, as did WEC and Formula E racer and 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Neel Jani.
Essentially we had two noisy, rather excellent days of on-track action, but testing will seem quiet compared to the overwhelming brilliance of this weekend’s #77MM. Remember, you can still watch the whole event live by becoming a member of the GRRC Fellowship.
