Only in the Varzi Trophy at the 79th Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport would a grid containing nine Bugatti Type 35s be considered normal.
In one of the final races of the weekend, these Grand Prix heroes flew around the Motor Circuit. As well as the nine Type 35s there were another three Bugattis, of the Type 51 variety, four Alfa Romeos, two Delahayes, two Talbot Lagos, a Maserati and a Lancia. Who won out in this pre-war dash?
