The Tony Gaze Trophy for 1950s sportscars was a four-way battle of Aston Martin, Jaguar and AC Ace for the majority of its running. But a lengthy red flag led to a reset and restart during which Max Girardo took his change to drag both his Ferrari Tour de France and the AC Ace he was battling away from the chasing pack – creating a two-way sprint for the finish.
