Video: V10 Jordan 195 F1 car pure sound

Fast forward 27 years and the car that Eddie Irvive took to third place on that momentous weekend returned to a race track for the first time since that 1995 season. In fact, it was the first time the car had moved under its own steam since it had been laid to rest in the Peugeot Museum at the end of its F1 tenure.

The Jordan 195 chassis three has changed hands on a couple of occasions over the years, and eventually wound up in a small workshop in Wales. From there, it has gradually been rebuilt and brought back into a track worthy state. And we are very grateful for all the hard work.

The V10 Era F1 demonstration at Members’ Meeting was evocative for so many reasons, but the sound of this V10 in particular captured our attention, and remains one of our favourite memories of the weekend. Among a field of iconic cars, none of them sounded quite as good as this forgotten gem as its engine was stretched all the way to somewhere near 17,000rpm.

For us, there is no better sound, so sit back and enjoy this symphony of pistons.
